Shop Handyman (Auburn, ME)

Hartt Transportation Systems Inc. is currently seeking a full time Shop Handyman.

This position is Monday thru Friday, hours of work are 07:00 – 16:00.

OVERVIEW:

The Shop Handyman works within the Maintenance Team and is responsible for minor building repairs and other duties in an efficient and timely manner. You are expected to be a team player in the Maintenance Department, as well as observing shop safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Minor repairs to the building
  • Minor grounds maintenance
  • Daily trash removal in shop
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly checklists
  • General shop/yard clean up
  • Parts pickup and delivery
  • Assistance in the other departments as required
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class C driver’s license
  • Must have basic mechanical aptitude
  • Able to perform manual labor
  • Adaptable and able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking and achieving required deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work extended periods
  • Basic computer skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma / GED preferred
